Market Focus week ending December 8th, 2017
Stocks traded higher last week thanks to a Friday rally following a generally “Goldilocks” jobs report. The S&P 500 rose 0.35% last week and is up 18.43% year to date. In looking at the price action last week, I could do our normal daily analysis, but frankly it’d be a waste of your time. Last week the calendar was totally devoid of any macro catalysts until Friday. So, trading Monday-Thursday was driven by sector performance, specifically whether tech was weak (when it was, the markets dipped like on Monday and Tuesday) or strong (tech rebounded Wednesday and Thursday)…
